What’s the Difference Between Them?

Ingredients

Both these products have a very similar ingredients list, but what are the actual differences? Let’s take a look.

Let’s start with the Bye Bye Foundation. The two products contain largely the same ingredients, including Titanium Dioxide (9.5%), Zinc Oxide (6.3%), Snail Secretion Filtrate, Orange Peel Oil and Lime Oil. Although they do not list the actual concentrations of each ingredient, they are listed in order of concentration.

Therefore we can deduce where there are higher or lower concentrations of each one. Bye Bye Foundation has a higher concentration of Hyaluronic Acid and Ferment Filtrate. These hydrating, plumping and anti-aging ingredients suggest that the Bye Bye foundation is more moisturizing.

In fact it is branded as a full coverage moisturizer. The foundation also contains Niacinamide which helps soothe skin and reduce red marks from pimples helping it match better to your skin tone. Bye Bye Foundation also contains Diamond Powder which makes your skin look more radiant without making it glitter.

The CC+ cream therefore is pretty similar in terms of ingredients although does differ in terms of concentrations and lacks a few that the foundation has. This means the formula is slightly less moisturizing but it is labelled as having their highest concentration of colour correcting pigments.

Verdict: Although similar, the Bye Bye foundation is more moisturizing with a few extra beneficial ingredients lacking from the CC+ Cream.

Shades

Now let’s take a look at the shades they offer and how they compare.

Bye Bye Foundation comes in 12 shades which gives you a decent selection. Although other foundations may offer a wider rage of shades, the high quality, blendable shades mean you can find a shade to match your skin tone.

In terms of how they look on the skin, many people found the Bye Bye Foundation shades were more natural and created a more natural look than the CC+, although the differences are minimal. CC+ only comes in 7 shades so you have slightly fewer options for finding the perfect shade.

The shades also differ slightly between the two products, for example you will notice a slight difference between the Light shade of the Bye Bye Foundation and the Light shade of the CC+. Therefore it could be a good idea to check out both before you buy as one may match your skintone more accurately and could be a game changer.

Verdict: The Bye Bye Foundation offers a wider range of shades and a more natural look.

Coverage

Now let’s take a look at the coverage of both the products.

Both of these products are full coverage and certainly do a great job. We love the coverage of the Bye Bye Foundation which covers all flaws and imperfections and leaves your skin looking super smooth.

It has a natural finish too and is less likely to cake than the CC+ cream as it features 3D Skin Flex Technology which reduces creasing and cracking. Of the two, the foundation might just pip the CC+ to the post with amazing coverage that lasts longer too.

The CC+ however, also has full coverage. It is specially designed to target redness and discoloration so you might prefer it if you suffer with redness or want to even your skin tone. It doesn’t have the 3D technology however so may be more prone to caking or cracking.

Although I wouldn’t worry too much as the CC+ is not prone to creasing either.

Verdict: We prefer the coverage of the Bye Bye Foundation which covers more naturally, sits better and lasts longer.

Moisturizing & Anti Aging

IT Cosmetics products are all about moisturizing as well as covering. But does one outperform the other?

The Bye Bye Foundation is marketed as a full coverage moisturizer, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that it is highly moisturizing. It doesn’t dry out your skin, and in fact contains many hydrating ingredients that keep your skin looking and feeling healthy and soft.

It also contains anti-aging ingredients so you are actually treating your skin while improving its appearance— a win win! These ingredients visually plump the look of lines and wrinkles, giving you a youthful glow. It also includes SPF 50 that helps protect your skin from further aging and sun damage.

The CC+ Cream is also very moisturizing and has a slightly heavier formula. It keeps your skin feeling supple and soft and also contains anti-aging ingredients which are beneficial for your face. The CC+ does have lower concentrations of certain anti-aging ingredients than the Bye Bye Foundation, so check this out if this is important to you.

Like the foundation, it also has SPF 50 to keep your skin protected and youthful from damage. What’s great about the CC+ is that if you have particularly dry skin, you can choose the Illuminating version which will be even more hydrating.

If you have oily skin on the other hand and you want moisture while controlling shine, you can go for the Matte version.

Verdict: While both very moisturizing, the Bye Bye Foundation is actually a full coverage moisturizer and has many anti-aging properties.

Duration

Let’s take a quick look at how long these products last and if you can wear them all day.

The Bye Bye Foundation is extremely long lasting and has an impressive stay power. It probably comes out on top compared to the CC Cream as it lasts a fair bit longer. You don’t need to use it with a primer or top powder, but these certainly can help keep it intact and lasting all day.

The CC+ Cream is also pretty heavy duty, lasting a long time. However not quite as long as the Bye Bye Foundation. You can’t complain about the stay power which rivals and surpasses that of many other brands, but if long-lasting is what you are looking for you may prefer the Bye Bye Foundation.

Verdict: The Bye Bye Foundation tends to last a little longer than the CC+ Cream.

Formula and finish

So hope about the formula and finish of the two products?

The Bye Bye Foundation has a rich, smooth texture that is easy to apply and sits smoothly on the skin, without feeling heavy. The 3D Skin Flex Technology means that there is a slight difference in the formula and texture to the CC Cream.

It provides the same full coverage as the CC+ Cream while providing a more matte finish which may look more natural. It also does a great job at minimizing pores so you can say goodbye to pesky pores and imperfections. The overall look is radiant, dewy and healthy without looking fake.

The CC Cream has a similar formula to the Bye Bye Foundation with a thick and creamy consistency. It is a little thicker than the Foundation but does not sit more heavily on the skin. The coverage is buildable but can reach heavy duty, full coverage, and the finish is glowy and radiant.

The CC+ Cream comes in an illuminating version for people with dryer skin and a matte version for those with oily skin.

Verdict: They have similar textures, but we love the slightly lighter formula and more matte finish of the Bye Bye Foundation.

Price

A quick note on price. Although the old version of Bye Bye Foundation used to be more pricey, the latest version rivals the CC+ Cream in price, meaning you can get them both for just under $40. Therefore pricewise they are pretty much equal!

Verdict: They are pretty much equal in price although the CC Cream is a dollar or 2 cheaper.

Conclusion

So there you have it, the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation vs the CC Cream. Both amazing products with similar core benefits, like full coverage, highly moisturizing and anti-aging properties, a glowy finish, and a similar price tag.

While either is a good investment, the Bye Bye Foundation creeps ahead with a more natural finish, more lightweight texture, more matte finish, and longer lasting stay power! We love it. Which one will you choose?
